I don’t know about you, but I had a difficult time staying on track with last year’s study of the New Testament. I wish I had made one of these charts to help me see a roadmap of my progress, so that’s what motivated me to try this approach for 2020. There is such a noticeable difference in my day when I carve out the time for spiritual nourishment (especially in the morning before doing all the things). Creating this is part of my phrase for 2020 to “Seek This Jesus.” Hopefully this chart will help!
My husband Wally shared something I needed to hear on Sunday. Daily scripture study is not about perfection. It’s about progress… it’s about diligence! If you miss a day, just pick up on the next! Choose to be diligent by reading just one verse at a time, one chapter at a time, and one page at a time. Small and simple. Slow and steady, my friends. Slow. And. Steady.
“Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.” – Alma 37:6
As they say: it’s not just about getting through the book… it’s about getting the book through you. There are promises of fortified spiritual strength and protection by studying The Book of Mormon. There is a renewed belief in the Savior, Jesus Christ. There is light, hope, and personal revelation waiting to fill our lives and hearts with greater determination to hold fast to the iron rod. I’m excited. I hope you are, too! Wishing you a year of insights, breakthroughs, and miracles as we take this journey together!
Love & Light,
